Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts' parents are Walter Grady Roberts and Betty Lou Bredemus. Roberts is the fourth Roberts generation that has lived in Atlanta from her great-grandfather who was a farmer John Pendleton Roberts. Her father was enthusiastic about theatre from a very young time. When he was a college student in Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he was a part of several productions. In 1953, he joined the Air Force and while stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi acted in a play with Betty Lou Bredemus. In 1955, they got married and their son Eric Anthony was born. Walter went to Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana following his departure from the Air Force in 1957. Walter was a part of the Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio when the family moved from Atlanta to Georgia's Decatur in the year 1960. Walter along with Betty Lou started production in 1964 on the local children's Saturday morning television program Bum Bum and His Buddies that they self-funded. In the following year, they established the Actors and Writers Workshop which ran for a period of six years. In the meantime, they had two more youngsters Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965, and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
